TeaTalk with: Zara Fatania, Relationships Manager.

This month we sit down with Zara Fatania, for a cuppa and a chat. We find out why she loves working for Cogent and the motto that helps her in her everyday work.

What inspired you to get involved in relationships/account management? Was this something you always wanted to do?

Marketing is a field that is constantly evolving and that’s what makes it so interesting. Being able to meet clients, get to know their pain points as a business (and personally) and then being able to work on strategies, implement and work alongside teams as an extension of their marketing team is always so rewarding. It’s always good fun to be right in the middle of all the action and that’s exactly what being in Relationships brings.

What is it that makes Cogent different to other places you have worked at?

Cogent are very real and it’s really that simple. From the people to the culture, they live by a sense of ‘togetherness’. Cogent evolve ideas and simply make stuff happen – and that’s what makes it so good.

Do you have a motto or ethos that helps you in your everyday work?

Early on in my career, I was once told that ‘no question is a stupid question’ and once I opened myself up to that frame of mind, it allowed me to approach my work and thought process differently. Ultimately, it taught me that I should never stop learning and more importantly, to never stop asking questions.

What part of your job do you enjoy the most and why?

Bringing people and brands together – My role is very collaborative and being able to work with different teams, different skillsets and different people is the best part of my role. No two days are the same … but that’s the fun part!

That’s all from Zara.  Keep an eye out for next month’s TeaTalk where we’ll be sitting down with another member of the Cogent family.
