Cogent's bespoke PR offer launches with a successful campaign for Severn Trent Water
Our newly founded PR department has helped change water user behaviour and helped deliver a 100% increase in demand for new water efficiency products.
Tim Pile, Cogent’s Chief Executive said: “Severn-Trent Water welcomed Cogent Elliott onto its marketing roster in 2010 so it’s great that our first piece of work has achieved a positive Return On Investment.”
The brief was to raise awareness around people’s behaviour and habits when using water in the home and to increase the conversion rate of customers ordering water saving products online from the Severn Trent Water website.
By using real people in regional testimonials we were able to bring to life practical tips on how families can use water more wisely in the home. A series of advertorials were also created with a call to action directing customers to a unique URL web page to order their free water saving packs.
This combination of editorial and advertorial placements across key midland press titles helped Severn Trent Water to achieve an increase of over 100 percent peak in demand for online requests for water efficiency products.
A wide range of PR services will be provided to clients, including; media relations, press and broadcast evaluation and audits, key stakeholder engagement, crisis management and photography. Social media will also be delivered through a collaborative partnership with Cogent’s Digital offering.
Tim concluded: “With our new PR team up and running (and delivering) we’re in a strong position to offer clients a service as good as a specialist PR agency but one which is backed up with our broad strategic and integrated understanding of our clients business.”
