Cogent Elliott welcomes digital evangelist

Chris Thompson has joned us as Creative Technologist as part of our continued investment in our digital offer.

Chris is the agency’s first Creative Technologist, which will primarily see him develop Cogent’s clients’ businesses by inventing and applying new and innovative technology based marketing solutions.

Chris commented: “I see myself as Cogent’s digital evangelist - a role which presents a diverse and fantastically exciting challenge. It allows me to combine entertainment, marketing, and business affairs experience with my passion for technology, to champion and create truly integrated and innovative brand strategies for Cogent clients.”

Chris joins Cogent from PIAS Entertainment Group where he was Head of E-Commerce, working across marketing, operations, business affairs, sales and finance. Chris also co-founded Digital Animal, a boutique e-Commerce & Social Media company, which built online marketing and commerce solutions for the likes of Radiohead, Dame Shirley Bassey and Pink Floyd. Chris was also shortlisted for the O2 Arena Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2008.
